Allana – Owner & Groomer
Allana is the founder of Hot Dogs Grooming and brings a unique blend of artistic background and technical grooming skill to every appointment. Before becoming a groomer, she spent over a decade working as a fine artist in Toronto, developing a strong eye for detail, balance, and creativity—skills that now shape her grooming style.
After discovering her passion for working with dogs in 2020, Allana pursued professional grooming education and graduated at the top of her class under the mentorship of Team Canada’s Master Groomer, Wynne Wong.

Allana specializes in creating clean, stylish, and well-balanced grooms that suit each dog’s coat type, lifestyle, and personality. She is especially passionate about low-stress grooming and building trust with every dog she works with.
Shelby – Groomer
Shelby graduated from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) in 2022 with a Bachelor of Technology. While her formal education is in a technical field, she also comes from a creative background and has always had a strong interest in working with animals.

After discovering a passion for grooming—especially while learning alongside her sister and receiving hands-on mentorship—Shelby made the decision to change career paths and pursue grooming full-time.

She is now proud to co-run Hot Dogs Grooming with Allana, bringing a thoughtful, patient, and detail-oriented approach to every dog she works with. Shelby is passionate about creating positive grooming experiences and helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the process.
MEET THE SHOP DOG
Suzy-Q
Suzy-Q is our beloved shop dog and full-time salon supervisor. As a sweet and soulful Basset Hound, she can be found in the salon most days overseeing operations, greeting clients at the door, and making sure every appointment runs smoothly.

With her calm presence and gentle nature, Suzy-Q has a special talent for helping more nervous pups feel relaxed and at ease during their visit. Whether she’s offering a friendly sniff at drop-off, quietly lounging nearby, or keeping watch over the salon, she plays an important role in creating the warm, welcoming environment Hot Dogs Grooming is known for.

When she’s not on duty, Suzy-Q enjoys naps, treats, sniffing and reminding everyone that she is, in fact, the true boss of the salon.
